RIMONT - Re-inhabiting the Mountain: Training, Mediation, and Facilitation Paths for Resettlement in Mountain Areas
The course draws inspiration from experiences already implemented in other areas of the Italian Alpine arc to support the demand for new residential opportunities in mountainous areas, with the aim of consolidating new housing projects at high altitudes. Starting from concrete experiences in the Venetian and Friulian mountains (Val di Zoldo, Val Posina, Carnia), issues of governance and management of repopulation processes, enhancement of the settlement heritage (availability of housing, access to incentives for renovations), and integration into the economic and social fabric of the territories (relationships between old and new residents, forms of cooperation, access to services) will be addressed. The course serves as an opportunity for new "literacy" in mountain living for aspiring mountain dwellers, providing cross-cutting environmental, economic, and social skills useful for promoting integration into the economic, social, and environmental fabric of the Triveneto mountains.
