Daniela Mapelli is the Unipd rector 2021-2027

Born in Lecco on 2 April 1965. Graduated in Experimental Psychology in Padova in 1991, she obtained a PhD in Experimental Psychology in 1996 at the University of Trieste. From 1993 to 1995 she spent two years at the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab, Department of Psychology (Carnegie Mellon University, PA). From 1997 to 2003 she held post-doc positions at the Department of General Psychology and research fellow at the Department of Medicine of the University of Padua. In 2003 she became a university researcher, in 2010 a full professor and since 2016 a full professor at the University of Padova, where she teaches Neuropsychology and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation.

She has published about a hundred scientific papers in the field of cognitive neuroscience in international journals with more than 3881 citations and an H-index of 30 (Google Scholar). She is a member of the Cognitive Neuroscience Society, the Herbert Simon Society, the Italian Association of Psychology and the Italian Society of Neuropsychology.

She has held the following management positions at the University of Padua: Vice-Rector for Teaching (2015-2021), President of the University Presidium for the Quality and Accreditation of Teaching (from 2015-2021);   Director of the Degree Course in Neuroscience and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation (from 2012-2015); member of the University committee for masters and evaluation issues (from 2012-2015); member of the Council of the School of Psychology (from 2012-2015); director of the master's degree in Clinical Neuropsychology (from 2010-2021).
