Rules for the use of IT resources
The use of the University’s IT tools is governed by a number of internal provisions concerning the use of the University network, Internet access, email, IT security, and the creation of websites.
A circular sets out the obligations and prohibitions to be observed by all those who have access to the University network. It specifies how IT resources may be used, the limits on their use, the rules for email, and the rules of the Garr network, through which Internet access is provided.
It is a regulation that sets out the principles with which all authorised users of the University’s IT resources must comply. It explains the procedures to be followed for the purposes of IT security or in the event of an incident, and the sanctions that may be applied following a breach of the rules. Finally, it specifies the procedures for complying with requests from the judicial authority concerning information that can be identified through IT tools.
