CENSIS
CENSIS METHODOLOGY AND PERFORMANCE

Censis, Centro Studi Investimenti Sociali, is a socio-economic research institute founded in 1964; since 1999 it has published annually the only ranking of Italian universities, both public and private.
The Censis - University Ranking [click here to download the PDF file] measures many aspects of Italian universities such as: available facilities, services provided, scholarships awarded, level of internationalization, employability.
It also assesses students' career progression and international relations.
The ranking is also presented by degree type and broad subject area.
The methodological note is always available in the PDF file that can be downloaded from the Censis website.
In 2026 UniPD confirmed its position for the third consecutive year in first place in the ranking of mega-universities (over 40,000 students).
