Practical assessment test - Psychology
The Practical Assessment Test for obtaining the qualification to practise the profession of psychologist, pursuant to Article 7, paragraph 1, of Law No. 163/2021, is reserved for those who have obtained a master’s degree in Psychology - class LM-51 under the previous non-qualifying academic regulations and who have passed a practical assessment traineeship.
For the year 2026 the University of Padua has planned the activation of two sessions:
- First session 2026 - application deadline: 16 April 2026
- Second session 2026 - application deadline: 11 September 2026
Assessment of the post-graduation master's traineeship activated by a foreign university
Graduates in the LM-51 class who have completed the post-graduation master's traineeship activated by a foreign university and are interested in taking the Practical Assessment Test pursuant to Ministerial Decree 567 of 20 June 2022 at the University of Padua may request an assessment of that same traineeship for the purposes of recognition as a practical assessment traineeship (TPV), in accordance with the instructions below:
1. Complete the "recognition request form"
2. Prepare a single PDF file including: the "recognition request form" duly completed and signed, the certificate confirming completion of the traineeship issued by IUSVE, and a photocopy of a valid identity document.
3. Send the PDF file to stage@unipd.it, specifying in the subject line "RECOGNITION OF POST-GRADUATION MASTER'S TRAINEESHIP ACTIVATED BY A FOREIGN UNIVERSITY". Requests with a different subject line will not be taken into consideration.
The recognition application must be submitted from 30 July to 25 August 2026.
By 4 September 2026, the Career Service will send the outcome to those who are eligible and will be able to register for the Practical Assessment Test by following the instructions and deadlines set out in the notice.
Notices:
- In order to ensure the proper conduct of the Practical Assessment Test, any requests concerning a change to the date of one’s oral examination are accepted only in the case of serious and justified health reasons, documented by a medical certificate.
- The published schedules must always be monitored for any changes that may prove necessary.
- The committee publishes only the list of candidates who have passed the test with a positive result.
The original professional qualification certificates for Psychologist are available for those who passed the Prova Pratica Valutativa - PPV in the calendar years 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Collection or delivery are possible according to the following arrangements:
Collection in person or by an authorised representative
Collection takes place at the Post Lauream Office – Teacher Training and State Examinations Sector. Contact details, public opening hours and the link to the booking page are provided at the bottom of the page.
To collect the certificate in person, you must go to the desk with your valid identity document.
To collect the certificate by proxy, the authorised representative must go to the desk with the following documentation:
- valid identity document;
- copy of the valid identity document of the delegating person;
- authorisation for collection of the original certificate, duly completed and signed by the delegating person (proxy form).
Delivery request
It is possible to request delivery of the original professional qualification certificate. Authorisation for delivery of the certificate releases the University of Padua from liability for loss, theft or damage due to the postal service.
Delivery within Italy is by insured post, at a cost of €10.80.
Delivery abroad is entrusted to an express courier, whose costs are calculated according to the destination country.
The request must be submitted using the CoDi platform.
