Patronage and use of the logo
Requests for sponsorship to the University are divided into two types:
- initiatives concerning the University as a whole (of a scientific nature or with the prevalence of elements of debate/event);
- initiatives involving departments and structures.
Initiatives concerning the University as a whole
Scientific initiatives. To grant the patronage of the University of Padua to national or international conferences, national PhD or post-PhD schools, the participation of more than one University professor in the organizing or scientific committee is required.
The request, duly illustrated and accompanied by the syllabus (also in draft), must be addressed to the Magnificent Rector and sent for information to the management of the University structure concerned. It must be signed for recognition (of credits) by the director of the department or accompanied by the opinion of the same or by the extract of the minutes of the Department Council approving the initiative.
A specially designated member of the Academic Senate will examine the requests and take note of the opinions, bringing to the Senate, for possible confirmation of patronage, only those for which he deems necessary the endorsement of this body.
Debates and events. The request must be submitted in the same way even in the case of initiatives in which elements of spectacularity prevail or that interest a wider audience than the university one: this also when it comes to events organized by one or more professors of the University of Padua. The request will be examined by the rector, who may involve the Academic Senate in assessing the interest of the University and the image repercussions linked to the granting of patronage.
If patronage is granted to these initiatives, circulars, posters and communication material must use the wording: "with the patronage of the University of Padua" followed by the name of the department possibly involved.
Initiatives concerning the Departments
In the event that the initiatives are limited only to departments (specialized refresher courses, seminars, scientific meetings relating to research projects), the patronage of the department must be requested from the director, by one or more interested professors.
If patronage is granted, circulars, posters and other communication material must use the wording: "with the patronage of the Department of xxxxx of the University of Padua".
Logo Grant
In the event that the use of the logo is granted by the University, only the graphic versions of the logo (pictogram and logotype) must be used as indicated in the Communication Piano approved by the Board of Directors (November 2025). The use of the logo (pictogram and logotype) must also comply with the technical rules illustrated in the "Guidelines for the use of the University logo".
