22nd Contemporary Art Day

The Musei Civici di Padova are also taking part in the XXII Giornata del Contemporaneo, the annual event dedicated to contemporary art scheduled for Saturday 10 October throughout Italy. For the occasion, students of the University of Padua, including Erasmus students, can enjoy free admission to Museo Eremitani and Palazzo Zuckermann.  Free admission is also available to those who live in Padua and its province.

At 11 am, in the Sala del Romanino del Museo Eremitani, the catalogue of the exhibition Sandra Marconato. Oracoli will be presented. The event, with free admission until all available seats are taken, will feature the participation of the curators Stefano Annibaletto and Francesca Veronese, the catalogue text authors Virginia Baradel, Luisa Bazzanella Dal Piaz ed Elisabetta Vanzelli, and Pierantonio Tanzola, photographer of the exhibition.

At Museo Eremitani, visitors can see the exhibitions Sandra Marconato. Oracoli e Trame temporali. Martín Soto Climént e Herta Ottolenghi Wedekind.

The Giornata del Contemporaneo is promoted by AMACI – Associazione dei Musei d’Arte Contemporanea Italiani, with the support of the Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea of the Ministry of Culture and in collaboration with the Direzione Generale per la Crescita e la Promozione delle Esportazioni of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Now in its twenty-second edition, the initiative involves museums, foundations, institutions and spaces dedicated to art, with the aim of showcasing and describing the vitality of the Italian contemporary scene.
