Cristian Rosso earned a Master’s degree in Chemistry at the University of Bologna (Dept. of Chemistry “G. Ciamician”, Italy), working in the research group of Prof. M. Lombardo. He completed his PhD at the University of Trieste (Italy) under the supervision of Prof. M. Prato and Dr. G. Filippini, developing organo- and photocatalytic platforms using organic dyes and carbon-based nanomaterials for synthetic purposes. During his doctorate, he joined Prof. C. O. Kappe’s group at the University of Graz (Austria) for one year to explore flow photochemistry. He then carried out his postdoctoral research with Prof. L. Dell’Amico at the University of Padova (Italy), where he investigated the design of metal-free photocatalysts and clarified their reaction mechanisms. Awarded an MSCA Global Fellowship (PhotoCatData), he will conduct the outgoing phase at the University of Utah (USA) with Prof. M. S. Sigman and will subsequently return to Padova to join Prof. Dell'Amico's group.
