MOVE-H - Mountain, Prevention, Physical Exercise, and Health

The course aims to provide theoretical and practical knowledge and skills related to the benefits and challenges associated with exposure to mountain and high-altitude environments. Specifically, it will cover basic knowledge on the body's adaptations to hypoxia and altitude, considering different age groups and the presence of chronic conditions (such as heart disease, lung disease, metabolic disorders, etc.). The role of physical exercise in mountain environments and more generally in natural settings will be explored, analyzing the benefits for overall well-being and potential risks. Additionally, the course will address precautions to prevent injuries or adverse events in the mountains.
