Duration: 16 hours (12 face-to-face, 4 e-learning) + 9 hours of self-training
Period: at the request of the school. On request, it is possible to agree on the delivery of the course remotely, in synchronous mode, through the Zoom platform
Cost per package: 2500 euros
Goals: Develop a heuristic attitude towards grammatical knowledge, with analysis of authentic material;
Develop innovative paths that deviate from traditional grammaticalism;
Develop an approach to languages as complex natural mechanisms and "living" and articulated realities;
Develop the awareness that the purpose of the grammatical course unit (of Italian, classical and modern languages) is not limited only to production and understanding skills, but also to the study of deep structures;
Promote interlingual comparison.
Initiate paths of potential action research;
Encourage dialogue between disciplines and departments with a view to global training;
Promote self-education in schools.
Recipients: Teachers of linguistic disciplines (Italian and modern languages) of the Lower and Upper Secondary School
Training methods: The participatory theoretical lesson will be followed by workshops in which teachers will be guided in the production of material that can be immediately used in teaching practice, also through short paths of autonomous design and methodological meta-reflection, in the light of a coherent theoretical framework.
Each lesson will be completed by training sessions (independently or in groups) to be carried out in e-learning mode, through the use of free multimedia platforms.
Syllabus:
MODULE 1. GRAMMAR OF MIND AND SCHOOL GRAMMARS
The module will focus on the universal mechanisms of language functioning, emphasizing the contribution of dialects to grammar teaching, with particular attention also to motivational aspects. The foundations will therefore be laid for the launch of interlingual comparison workshops.
MODULE 2. THE INTERMINISTERIAL DECREE CONCEPT: HOW WORDS ARE GROUPED
The module will illustrate the notion of "phrase", proposing its use as a key element for the analysis of languages. Laboratory examples of innovative lectures and exercises will be proposed on the basis of the constituent analysis of the simple sentence.
MODULE 3. THE VERB PHRASE: ANALYZING THE SIMPLE SENTENCE
The module will illustrate the notion of "verb phrase" and will propose a teaching methodology based on this concept, problematizing the traditional methods of analysis of the simple sentence (logical and valencial analysis).
MODULE 4. INTERMINISTERIAL DECREE TYPES PREDICATES AND INTERLINGUISTIC COMPARISON
The module will examine the different types of predicates, discussing their syntactic structure. A path of interlinguistic comparison will also be proposed on the basis of the skills gained during the entire training activity.
