Lean Manufacturing - VII edition
Duration: 96 hours
Dates: from 21 May 2025 to 21 November 2025
Lesson dates: twelve days of 8 hours each
Enrolment fee: 3,800 euros
Objectives: The primary training objective is to accompany participants on a path of classroom training and direct learning in the field that allows them to build the wealth of theoretical knowledge and practical experience necessary to be able to independently start concrete projects for the reorganization of Operations according to the principles and logic of Lean Manufacturing. The spirit of the course is to integrate the theoretical approach with the operational one in a synthesis that, while proposing rigorous insights from a methodological point of view, aims them at managerial action. In this sense, the lessons see the involvement of external professionals (managers and consultants) who are experts in Lean Manufacturing and will be partly held at companies with consolidated experience in Lean Manufacturing.
The understanding of the principles of Lean Management and the main methodologies typical of this managerial approach to operations management will allow participants to know how to use specific tools and techniques aimed at the continuous improvement of factory activities.
Recipients: The initiative is aimed at specialist managers and high-potential function specialists working in the areas of Production, Planning, Product and Process Industrialization, Quality, Purchasing, Work Organization, as well as plant/production managers.
Syllabus:
MODULE 1: Evolution of production models
The module aims to describe the evolution of production models from the Fordist/Taylorist system to the Toyota Production System. Of the latter, the reference principles, the operating characteristics, the application areas will be discussed.
MODULE 2: Fundamentals of Production Planning and Control
The module provides participants with the fundamental concepts related to production management such as: development of production plans, calculation of material and capacity requirements, order release and production scheduling logics.
MODULE 3: Value Stream Mapping
The module is dedicated to the presentation of the VSM (Value Stream Mapping) methodology, a key tool of the Lean model that allows you to "photograph" the current situation of a production process and to highlight any critical areas on which to intervene to improve efficiency and effectiveness performance.
MODULE 4: Techniques and Tools for Pull Flow Production
The module describes the fundamental techniques to operate with a pulled flow production: Cellular Manufacturing, Supermarket, Kaban, Heijunka, Lean Supply, SMED
MODULE 5: The design and management of continuous improvement
The topics covered concern the methodologies and techniques aimed at supporting continuous improvement in the company: among these the Hoshin Kanri methodologies, the 5S, Toyota Kata, Ishikawa Diagram, PDCA
MODULE 6: "Minifactory for Learning"
A learning workshop that, in two days, faithfully reproduces the activities that a manufacturing company carries out over a period of 12/24 months. Participants experience the transformation of the company according to Lean logics, learning how to manage the main processes in compliance with the times, costs and quality required by the market, to improve relationships with customers and suppliers.
