IOV – Veneto Oncology Institute

The Veneto Oncology Institute - IOV is the first institute in Veneto specifically dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer and cancer research.

Its mission is in fact to provide the most advanced assistance to people suffering from cancer and at the same time carry out biomedical research, which is essential for the advancement of knowledge and the transfer of the most innovative treatments to patients.

Within the framework of regional social and health planning and as part of the organization of the regional oncology network by levels, the IOV is assigned the role of coordination hub center in close harmony with the reference oncology poles, the clinical oncology departments and the multidisciplinary oncology groups also operating at the Hospital - University of Padova, the Integrated University Hospital of Verona and the ULSS companies.
