Incentives and contributions
Incentives are offered to give you the opportunity to obtain reductions in the amount of tuition fees, or they are granted as payments in relation to specific collaborations or for academic merit.
The Ministry of University and Research has established a fund aimed at providing a contribution towards the housing rental expenses incurred by off-site students themselves (in accordance with the relevant legislation).
In order to support enrolment in subject areas of national or European interest, the University of Padua awards incentives to students enrolled in certain degree programmes belonging to STEM scientific degree classes, as shown in the table below.
The classes considered are those not subject to national capped admission, falling within ISCED-1dgt fields of study 05, 06 and 07, according to the classification used within SISTAN by the Ministry.
The incentive consists of a full or partial exemption from tuition fees, up to a maximum amount of 1000 euro, which is awarded according to position in the ranking and until the available resources are exhausted.
The selection takes place by December, automatically and without the submission of any application, on the basis of specific requirements:
- regular enrolment in degree programmes;
- academic merit resulting from the merit coefficient;
- financial situation indicated by the Isee value.

Every year, calls for applications for the selection of tutors (L.170/2003) are announced, taking into account academic merit, skills and aptitude, assessed through qualifications and selection interviews.
Each year, students can apply to carry out part-time collaborations with the University, for a maximum duration of 200 hours.
To reward deserving students, the University and other public or private bodies periodically establish study prizes: the vast majority are intended for those who have graduated, but in some cases those enrolled on bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and single-cycle master’s degree courses may also apply.
Procedures, requirements and types of prizes vary and are specified in the individual calls for applications, together with the contact information of the bodies launching the competition.
This initiative, which is of an experimental nature, aims to encourage enrolment in and continued attendance of degree courses in Nursing across the Veneto region.
The persons targeted by the initiative are students enrolled in the three-year degree course in Nursing in the academic years 2025-2026, 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 at the universities of Padua, Verona and Ferrara (for the latter, limited to the Adria campus), who have passed the first-, second- or third-year traineeship examination.

Veneto Lavoro is responsible for the payment of the voucher, in accordance with the provisions of DGR 645/2025.
