In Padova there is a free-flow sharing scooter service, managed by Dr. This type of service introduces an innovative form of mobility that guarantees positive effects of reducing air pollution and vehicular traffic.  

To be able to rent a scooter, you need to download the app from the stores (Appstore and Playstore) and register your user profile.  The service is aimed only at adult users.
The vehicle, if free, can also be used without having to proceed with the reservation.

All vehicles are equipped with satellite detection that prevents theft and at the same time controls the speed of the vehicle by slowing it down in pedestrian areas and inhibits the end of the rental in areas where parking is prohibited.

The University has also entered into an agreement reserved for students, staff and academic staff which provides a 30% discount on the value of the final fee of use of a Dott electric scooter, up to a maximum of 500 rides.

The marking of bicycles and scooters is a free service, offered by the Municipality of Padova, which consists of punching the owner's tax identification number on the bicycle frame and applying an indelible label with the coat of arms of the Municipality of Padova. In the event of theft and discovery, the police can, through this identification system, trace the owners.

It is possible, if the space on the frame allows it, to also mark scooters by proceeding as indicated for bicycles.

The marking operation is free of charge.

To proceed with the marking, it is necessary:

• Fill in and submit the online form and then go to the marking point with:
• the bicycle or scooter;
• printed copy of the form completed online, signed;
• health card where the Tax identification number is indicated;
• photocopy of the document indicated in the registration form.

The urban  bus network in Padova is managed by Busitalia Veneto and allows you to easily reach all areas of the city. A dense suburban network connects the city to the province and to many other places in the region. By bus it is also possible to easily reach the Agripolis campus in Legnaro.

In Padova there is a tram line, which has a north-south direction, from the residential district of Guizza to the Arnella area, crossing the whole city center. A new tram line is under construction that will reach Agripolis.
The tram is also part of the Busitalia mobility network.

It is possible to apply online to obtain a contribution to be used when purchasing the annual pass for local public transport. The value of the voucher/voucher is 200 euros, or 160 euros for the beneficiaries of the last edition of the call issued by the Municipality of Padova.
Students and workers with a driver's license can apply.
Requests until 12 noon on 31 August 2026 or until funds are exhausted.

QuiBus is an on-demand night bus service that was born from the collaboration between the University, the municipality and the Busitalia Veneto transport company. The goal is to make the city more livable even at night with an initiative aimed at both students of the University but also those who live in Padova.

Night buses will cover the municipal area and will be available every day of the week until midnight, with an extension until 1 am on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings . 

To access the service, it is necessary to download the QuiBus application and enter the required data. Those studying at the University of Padova will be able to register with their Unipd account; In this way, it will be possible to monitor access from the academic community.

Once you have completed your registration, you will be able to book your trip from one week before and up to 5 minutes before departure. The reservation includes the insertion of the place of departure and arrival: the stops provided for the night buses correspond to the stops used daily by the local urban public transport service of Padova, excluding those of the tram. Access to the vehicle is reserved only for registered users.

The cost of each ride is 2.20 euros, which can be purchased on the QuiBus app.

The University of Padova, for the implementation of its institutional purposes and to enhance the collaborative relationships with the realities of the territory, promotes services for those who study and for university staff. In this context, the University has signed an agreement with Trenitalia for the positioning of self-service train ticket machines within the University's premises.

In particular, the ticket machines are positioned at:

• the Engineering complex, portico adjacent to the bar, via Marzolo 9, Padova;
• Agripolis Campus, Cà Gialla (atrium), viale dell'University 16, Legnaro (Padova)

Self-service ticket machines are enabled to issue national tickets (including arrows), regional tickets and season tickets. They also give information on train schedules. They are always active, but follow the opening and closing days and times of the facilities in which they are located.

This service can be used by students, university staff and the many guests who attend the University's premises.

The university promotes a transport service offered by Serenissima Padova Taxi that provides within and in the surrounding areas of the city of Padova, by taxi or, at the request of people with disabilities, by equipped vehicles.

For students and staff with disabilities at the University of Padova, the fixed cost is € 15.00 each way. Payment is made through a rechargeable VIP Card, which guarantees a free 5% of the amount for each top-up.

For this specific user, from the 2024/25 academic year, by booking the transport service, it will also be possible to agree on the accompaniment  and related support operations (e.g. removing/putting on a jacket, extracting and/or putting study material back in the backpack, etc.), with a variable surcharge, based on the duration of the service.
