GEMONT - Ethical Mountain Management: Visions of the Future
The methods of future visioning and future studies are innovative tools that support programming and planning actions. By combining science and creativity, these methods allow for anticipating future challenges with a strategic and systemic perspective, guiding the development of sustainable long-term policies, promoting responsible practices, encouraging innovation, risk management, and understanding needs. They stimulate a value and cultural transformation through the sensitization of entities, businesses, and citizens, and the change of practical applications through the direct involvement of local actors.
The course is aimed at operators, professionals, teachers, employees, project managers, and other interested individuals who, within public entities, associations, foundations, mixed organizations, large and small companies, are called to develop long-term strategic visions for the future of mountain areas. Participants will develop cross-disciplinary skills, useful for guiding policies and actions towards the regeneration of rural-mountain systems.
