Malabrenta

As part of Castello Festival, on the evening of Sunday 13 September Teatro Giardino di Palazzo Zuckermann in Padua hosts the theatrical performance Malabrenta, which tells the story of one of the most powerful criminal organisations in Northern Italy since the post-war period, the "mala del Brenta".

The performance, staged by Teatro Bresci and directed by Giorgio Sangati, features on stage a henchman from the criminal group, played by Giacomo Rossetto. His account retraces the organisation’s entire history through the eyes of someone who has sawn through bars, someone who has shot people in the head, someone who has handled gold ingots, someone who ended up in prison and is still there today.
