ERUS26

The 23rd annual congress of the robotic Urology section of the European Association of Urology EAU is being held in Padua from 9 to 11 September 2026. ERUS26 is the largest European event dedicated to robotic urology, a meeting that offers the opportunity to engage with specialists from all over the world.
More than 1,000 participants from all over the world are expected at the Padova Congress, together with an international faculty of around 150 experts.
The programme includes 54 live robotic surgery procedures, broadcast from the operating theatres of the Azienda Ospedale-University of Padua and other Italian centres, as well as international telesurgery sessions with links to hospital facilities in Europe, Asia and Africa.
Particular prominence is given to the contribution of the Urology Clinic of Padua, which is performing a robotic partial nephrectomy for a renal tumour. The procedure is preceded and accompanied by the presentation of a simulation carried out on a personalised three-dimensional model of the patient’s kidney, developed from CT images. This experience highlights the potential of integrating digital planning, simulation and robotic surgery.
Alongside the surgical sessions, ERUS26 offers training activities, round tables and meetings dedicated to new technologies, with specific programmes for young urologists and operating theatre nursing staff.
The congress is also enriched by initiatives dedicated to training, innovation and outreach, including RUBIC™, an international challenge aimed at the under-35s for the development of new solutions in the field of robotic surgery, and HOT, a practical course dedicated to the management of emergencies in the operating theatre through simulation.
ERUS26 confirms the role of Padua as a centre of excellence for research, training and innovation in the medical and surgical field, offering an international platform for sharing expertise and developing new applications of robotics, telesurgery and digital technologies in urology. The congress programme focuses on practical indications for robotic surgery through live surgery sessions, discussions of clinical cases and state-of-the-art lectures. Sessions dedicated to industry, ESU courses and a Technology Forum are also planned.
