CMT@Brixen

The conference, which will take place at the Casa della Gioventù in Bressanone from 26 to 28 August 2026, aims to strengthen the links between the various Italian and international groups working in the field of condensed matter theory (CMT).

The conference is organised into five sections, covering almost all areas of the field of study, each introduced by a keynote speaker and followed by two invited talks and three contributions. The sections are:

• Materials for energy
• Spectroscopy and ultrafast phenomena
• Advances in first-principles materials simulations
• Magnetism, superconductivity and topology
• Machine learning in condensed matter physics

A poster session is dedicated to younger scholars.
