After an initial meeting on 25 June 2026, the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padua is proposing a second meeting on 5 October, "Artificial Intelligence in Research," to explore the responsible and effective use of generative artificial intelligence in academic research — from institutional guidelines to practical methods, Ethics in AI & Effective Research Practice.
The meeting on 5 October 2026 opens with a talk by Viola Schiaffonati (Politecnico di Milano), "Ethics in Artificial Intelligence"; this will be followed by Ben Golub (Northwestern University), who will give a two-part presentation on "Effective Use of Generative AI in Research".
