The eleven two-year study awards worth EUR 4,000.00, paid in two annual instalments of EUR 2,000.00 each for the academic years 2023/24 and 2024/25, are reserved for female students who have pre-enrolled for the academic year 2023/24 for the following Master's degree programmes in: 

  • Scienze del governo e politiche pubbliche (Government Science and Public Policy);
  • Relazioni internazionali e diplomazia (International Relations and Diplomacy);
  • Accounting, Finance and Business Consulting;
  • Applied Economics;
  • Management for Sustainable Firms.

  "Mille e una lode" Award (second or third year students only)

The University of Padova offers 1,000 merit-based awards to excellent students in each degree programme.

You are eligible for the Mille e una lode award if you are:

  • enrolled at the University of Padova as a second or third year student;
  • ranked in the top 3% of your class, considering the average ECTS and scores gained until August of the current academic year.

How to apply:  you are not required to apply specifically for the programme, as the scholarship is assigned automatically to top students in their class.

Amount of the award: the award consists of services for a total value of euro 1,000 each. Successful students can chose among:

  • funding to study abroad (or increase in your Erasmus scholarship);
  • funding for curricular internships in Italy or abroad;
  • funding for post-lauream internships, to start within 12 months after graduation;
  • funding for tutoring (50 hours);
  • benefit from a fee waiver up to a maximum amount of 1,000.00 euro. 

 “Mille e una lode” award can be combined with regional and mobility scholarships.

The ranking of winners will be published by October. Students are required to choose the type of merit-based scholarship via Uniweb personal area (section "iniziative") from 8 to 22 January 2024.
Students who fail to make their choice within the closing date will lose their right to the merit-based scholarship.

  Incentive for students enrolled in scientific Bachelor's degree programmes (second or third year students only)

The University of Padova offers an annual merit-based economic support to a selection of students enrolled in scientific degree programmes.

Students will be selected by the University on the basis of the following requirements:
1. regular registration in a course year following the first, for a number of years not exceeding the normal duration of the courses mentioned in the call for application, in the academic year 2023/24, completed by 31 October 2023;
2. merit, based on the relevant factor accrued as at 10 August 2023;
3. economic condition indicated by the ISEE value.

How to apply: you are not required to apply specifically for it, as the award is assigned automatically to eligible students.

Amount of the awardup to a maximum amount of euro 1000, as reduction of second and third instalments of due tuition fees.

Dual career student-athlete

The University recognises the dual career student-athlete eligibility for students who compete for selection as they practise a sporting discipline recognised by CONI or CIP, are represented at the Olympics/Paralympics and have achieved results of particular competitive significance.

Eligibility will be agreed if the athlete is summoned to the Italian National Team representative team, either as an overall champion or if he/she has achieved podium finishes in European or World Championships. Coaches, trainers and referees called up to represent Italy at the Olympics/Paralympics, those who play in national championships for sports clubs with which Unipd has a framework agreement and those who compete with Cus Padua in basketball and volleyball championships are also eligible.

The university may grant eligible students an annual contribution, the assignment of a tutor, the possibility of agreeing with the lecturer on a different exam date in the same session, the authorisation not to count the absence from compulsory attendance of a lesson or laboratory, psychological and motivational support, the possibility of requesting a suspension of studies for preparation for and participation in international sporting events and certification of sporting merit recognised as a student-athlete in the Diploma Supplement.

The application can be submitted from until the 30 October 2023.

The University of Padua recognizes the qualification of student-athlete to students regularly enrolled (for a maximum of 2 years in addition to the duration of the course of study) who meet both of the following requirements:

  • achievement of sports merits of particular competitive importance;
  • having passed at least 20 ECTS credits from the previous year (by 30 September 2023) for those enrolled in years subsequent to the first; passing at least 6 ECTS credits by the February 2024 exam session for students enrolled in the first year.
