The challenge of grasping the dialogue between mathematics, especially in its most modern formulations, and other disciplines: this course will teach you how to mathematically formalise challenges of practical, industrial or financial interest and to use mathematical models supporting activities of numerous sectors. You will attend courses in mathematics: general, methodological and applied, but also in physics and IT, constantly updating your knowledge base, so that it never becomes obsolete. After two years of mandatory courses, you may choose between a theoretical, didactic or applicative path, in your third year . You will be able to deal with scientific culture, research, mathematical modelling and computational support for industrial activities, IT, economic and financial services.

Characteristics and objectives
The course provides a solid basic preparation in mathematical disciplines, offering the possibility to the students to study the modern formulation of these disciplines and to get in touch with various aspects of the subject, both general and methodological and applicative. The methodological aspects of each area are studied in detail in order to avoid obsolescence of the skills acquired. In addition to the knowledge of mathematical subjects, the preparation in physics and computer sciences is considered.

The graduates can carry out professional activities in the field of the dissemination of scientific culture, research, mathematical modeling and computational support for industrial activities, information technology, economic and financial services, also in the public administration.
