  Università Aperta PhD - 8th edition - Thursday, March 21st, 2024

Università Aperta PhD - VIII edizione - Giovedì 21 marzo 2024

The sectoral career day Università Aperta PhD is the event dedicated to PhD students of the University of Padua for a day of meeting with companies interested in getting to know young male and female researchers in order to facilitate their job placement in professional projects related to innovation and development (R&D sector)

The career day is held Online on Thursday, March 21st, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Candidates and companies can register from the platform www.universitaperta-unipd.it

Since this is a career day aimed at a high-education target audience, the Career Service is responsible for scheduling interviews with companies in the form of speed interviews. The interview schedule is announced a few days before the event. To attend the event, it is mandatory to register and upload your CV in pdf format. In order to attend the interviews, it is mandatory to apply to at least one company, within the reserved area, choosing a time slot from those available.

Registration for candidates opens on March 04 and closes on March 13rd, 2024.

To better prepare for the Open University PhD career day, Friday, March 8th, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Zoom, there is a meeting titled "Job Dating: resume in hand and a few minutes to convince the interviewer you are the right person!

  Business Game for Data Scientist – 11 April 2024

Business game based on the ability to analyse and create a forecasting model on the basis of a real data set, followed by individual interviews with participating companies.

The competition, is individual and will be open to all university students and graduates able to work as data scientists. Each candidate must provide the hardware (computer, tablet, etc.) and software he or she considers necessary to carry out the analyses. During the competition one may use any programming language or software considered appropriate and suitable. The responsibility for the ownership rights and licences required to use any software lies with the individual participant.

For the first three winners of the business game, who took part in the interviews with the companies, there will be prizes in Amazon vouchers of the following amounts: voucher worth 400 € for the first classified, voucher worth 300 € for the second and voucher worth 200 € for the third classified.

Programme of the day

9 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Business game Game in-person at the Department of Statistical Sciences (Via Cesare Battisti, 241 Padua - Aula SC40 and Aula Studio
Candidates' ability to predict patterns is based on an external database and is therefore an objective (and quantitative) assessment: scoring and ranking of candidates are determined based on these results.

2.30 p.m. - 6 p.m.: Online interviews on Zoom platform
Business game participants take online interviews with participating companies.

To participate, it is necessary to register on www.universitaperta-unipd.it, attaching a pdf CV and compulsorily booking interviews with at least 3 companies in order to have a chance of winning prizes.

Registration for candidates will be open from 22 March to 5 April 2024.
All CVs will be made available to companies.

  Università Aperta - XIX edition - 23 May 2024 - 10-17

The Università Aperta career day is an opportunity to meet companies that the University of Padua offers for free to all its students and graduates: a meeting for an open dialogue between the university world and the professional world.

The University of Padua opens its doors to companies and organisations in order to facilitate direct contact with new talents and to enhance the potential born and growing in the academic environment.

The next edition of Università Aperta will be held on Thursday 23 May 2024 in the Padiglione 11 of the Fiera di Padova (entrance from via Goldoni 8, gate C - Padova)

The access to the event is open and free of charge. Online registration on the event website   www.universitaperta-unipd.it is optional and not binding.

  Università Aperta Agripolis - VIII edition - 10 October 2024

On October 10 2024 the annual meeting between local companies and students, graduates, and alumni from the School of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine at the University of Padua will take place. The event will be hosted from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Pentagono Building on the Agripolis Campus of the University of Padua in Legnaro (PD). 

This initiative provides companies with an important opportunity to connect with young people studying agriculture and food sciences, allowing them to showcase their business, as well as their educational and professional needs. They can also take advantage of tools like internships and traineeships, which facilitate job placement.

The event is free and open to the public, and interviews with attending companies are primarily scheduled ahead of the event. However, it is also possible to attend on the same day and meet with companies, waiting for free time slots outside of those already scheduled.

  Università Aperta IES - XIV edition - 7 November 2024

On 7 November 2024 Career Service organizes Università Aperta IES, a career day dedicated to students and graduates of the Schools of Engineering, Economics and Sciences of the University of Padova.

The event will be hosted within the Fiera di Padova.

Interviews with companies take place in the form of one-to-one speed interviews with free access. Each candidate can go independently to the stands of the companies of interest to leave his CV and have a brief interview with the company representatives present.

The initiative represents an important opportunity for companies to meet young students and recent graduates from the engineering, economic and scientific fields, and for candidates an exclusive opportunity to have a look to the world of work according to their training and professional needs, facilitating job placement through internships or apprenticeships.

On November 4, 5, and 6, 2024, presentation workshops of some participating companies will take place online via Zoom, each lasting 45 minutes. Participation is open upon registration.   Mentor&Me Project - 11th Edition (registration deadline: November 18, 2024)

The project offers the mentee the opportunity to be supported by a professional figure who has been working in the professional world for several years. The mentor is an expert who shares their experience with the mentee, to explore career paths or skills currently required by the market, providing useful information for professional choices.

The program lasts 6 months and includes 6 online meetings with the assigned mentor and several group sessions organized by the Career Service staff, focusing on topics related to entering the job market.

In this eleventh edition, in collaboration with the WIS Italia - Women in Surgery association, a designated number of places is reserved for female students of Medicine and Surgery and residents in General Surgery.

For WIS Mentees, the program will last 12 months, and the 6 scheduled meetings will take place over the course of a year.

  Mentor&Me project - 10th edition (Applications by May 9th, 2024)

The aim of the project is to support students, graduates and PhDs for a professional guidance.

Mentors are managers and experts who provide mentees with their expertise in various sectors of interest, offer them the opportunity to explore career paths and the skills required in today's labour market, and provide support and guidance in making professional choices. The enrichment of the mentee and also of the mentor stems precisely from the possibility of exchanging views and establishing a relationship of trust.

The mentoring program is reserved for a small group of participants (students enrolled in a bachelor/master degree, PhD, students enrolled in a post-graduate course, Graduates or PhDs up to a maximum of 12 months after graduation).

  Mentor&Me project - 10th edition (Applications by May 9th, 2024)

The aim of the project is to support students, graduates and PhDs for a professional guidance.

Mentors are managers and experts who provide mentees with their expertise in various sectors of interest, offer them the opportunity to explore career paths and the skills required in today's labour market, and provide support and guidance in making professional choices. The enrichment of the mentee and also of the mentor stems precisely from the possibility of exchanging views and establishing a relationship of trust.

The mentoring program is reserved for a small group of participants (students enrolled in a bachelor/master degree, PhD, students enrolled in a post-graduate course, Graduates or PhDs up to a maximum of 12 months after graduation).

  Benetton - 9 April 2024

The heart of Benetton's business is the logistics hub in Castrette di Villorba (TV). From here shipments depart by land, sea and air to more than 5000 points of sale worldwide. Designed by architects Tobia and Afra Scarpa and officially opened in 1984, a year later it was complemented by a knitwear production plant, and between 2007 and 2009 it was further expanded.

The hub handles more than 120,000 packages per day (60,000 incoming and 60,000 outgoing). The Castrette area also houses office space, a canteen and the Benetton Studios, a multifunctional area that also includes the Benetton Archives.
