An international Erasmus Mundus Joint Master degrees course, delivered in both French and English, along with the University of Évora and the University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, and carried out through the collaboration of seven international universities. The training ranges between historical-economic, architectural-urban planning, and management disciplines that provide students with specialized preparation on the history and enhancement of industrial heritage (Padua), on the history of techniques (Paris), and on the enhancement of cultural and historical heritage (Évora). Students will master on-site investigative techniques and material finds, as well as on the critical use of sources and on the capitalization processes of industrial Heritage. Students will be able to work in sectors of cultural services and the recovery of local activities, traditions, and identities.

Characteristics and objectives
The International Erasmus Mundus Master Course in 'Techniques, Heritage, Industrial Landscapes' ('Tecniques, Patrimoine, Territoires de l'Industrie - TPTI) is an Erasmus Mundus joint master degree established in cooperation with the Université Paris 1 - Pantheon Sorbonne and the Universidad de Evora. It is designed to provide specialized training in: the History and Enhancement of Industrial Heritage (in Padua - IT), the History of Technology (in Paris - FR) and the Management and Enhancement of Cultural and Historic Heritage (in Evora - PT).
The TPTI curriculum offers specific and in-depth skills regarding economic history, architecture and planning, technology, management and languages. Skills to be used for the detection of the layers that configure the different territorial cultural systems and for conducting research on technology, on industrial heritage and on tangible and intangible cultural heritage, on business history and technology History, while mastering the techniques of onsite investigation, the critical use of written, oral and visual (iconographic, cartographic, photographic and cinematographic) sources, the process of granting heritage status to industrial heritage and the analysis, inventory and enhancement of tangible and intangible heritage, produced by the technical and industrial culture in different eras and civilizations, also in view of new local development processes.
Occupational opportunities
The course trains specialists who will be able to work in governmental and local institutions, in the fields of cultural services and in the enhancement of activities, traditions and local identities. The specialization on Industrial heritage, in particular, trains personnel capable of covering different professional positions with multi-disciplinary skills.
Graduates will be able to best use the knowledge and skills acquired either at state institutions and at local authorities (in the conservation of cultural heritage, at archives, museums and libraries, dealing with cataloguing, inventories, collections, heritage renewal and enhancement projects, communication and territorial marketing), or in the private sector (in business archives and museums, engaging in collection management, communications and corporate marketing, technical and scientific journalism).
Finally, the opportunity to continue their education or to teach in schools in the manner prescribed in the specific ministerial regulations remains open to all graduates.
