The University of Padua, within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan - PNRR “Student housing and reform of student housing legislation" (Mission 4 - Component 1 - Reform 1.7), financed by the European Union NextGenerationEU, issues a call for applications for the assignment of a total of 24 accommodation places at the “Casa dell’Assistente Prof. Virgilio Ducceschi”, in via Marzolo 14/16 in Padua.

These consist of ten single rooms with private bathroom and seven double rooms with private bathroom, as well as a shared kitchen
The accommodation assignment has a yearly duration, from November to October.
Eight accommodation places are reserved for students enrolled in the first year of PhD courses in the academic year 2026/2027, with administrative headquarters at the University of Padua.

A maximum of eight accommodation places are reserved for students enrolled in the second year of PhD courses in the academic year 2026/2027 who have already been assigned accommodation at the “Casa dell’Assistente Prof. Virgilio Ducceschi” in the academic year 2025/2026.

A maximum of eight accommodation places are reserved for students enrolled in the third year of PhD courses in the academic year 2026/2027 who have already been assigned accommodation at the “Casa dell’Assistente Prof. Virgilio Ducceschi” in the academic year 2024/2025.

Places reserved for students enrolled in the first year in the a.y. 2026/27
Candidates may apply for accommodation exclusively during the application phase for the public selection notice for admission to PhD courses for the XLII cycle.

Places reserved for students enrolled in the second and third year in the a.y. 2026/27
PhD students already assigned an accommodation place at the “Casa dell’Assistente Prof. Virgilio Ducceschi” who, in the academic year 2026/27, will be enrolled in the second or third year and are interested in applying for the accommodation places reserved for them, must express their interest by filling in this form.

Successful applicants must confirm acceptance of the place by email to phd.ducceschi@unipd.it by 31 August 2026. Following confirmation of acceptance, successful applicants must pay a deposit of 350 euros, according to the procedures communicated by the University. In the event of failure to pay within the deadline, the successful applicant will be considered to have withdrawn. Any additional places assigned following the withdrawal of selected candidates must be accepted within 5 days of the communication of assignment, with simultaneous payment of the security deposit.
