Call for the assignment of 3 PhD at Risk scholarships for admission to the PhD Courses of 42nd Cycle – A.Y. 2026/2027

 

Thanks to the contribution of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, a selection process is underway for admission to the 42nd PhD cycle of 3 "at-risk" candidates.

In addition to the PhD scholarship, with a gross annual amount of €17,443 or €18,643 (depending on the Course applied for), the successful candidates will benefit from dedicated support services aimed at facilitating both entry and initial reception in Italy and full integration into the academic and social context.

Application deadline: June 5, 2026, 1 pm

The initiative is specifically aimed at candidates who find themselves at risk or vulnerable due to conflict, persecution, human rights violations, or political instability:

  • People from conflict zones or humanitarian crises
  • Refugees and asylum seekers
  • Members of vulnerable groups due to political, religious, ethnic, sexual orientation, or other persecution
  • members of groups who have faced the denial of civil and educational rights, including academic
    freedom.


The available PhD Courses are those lasting three years, listed in Annex 1 of the Call.
