A course that provides a comprehensive overview of historical processes from antiquity to the contemporary age and of the philosophical, artistic, literary and linguistic contexts within which events take shape, from a perspective that takes into account both the history of the local area and the culture of non-European civilisations. You will learn the methods, languages and tools of historiography, also through seminars, practical sessions and in-depth activities on the use and critical analysis of sources and on the management and enhancement of bibliographic and archival heritage. Thanks also to foundational philosophical and literary knowledge, you will be able to work in publishing companies, libraries, private and public archives, documentation centres, cultural institutes and institutions involved in the enhancement of the local area and cultural mediation.
