Roberta Maeran is an associate professor, since 2004, in psychology of work and organisations, at Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Education and Applied Psychology the University of Padua. She graduated in Psychology at the University of Padua (1976). Researcher (1998-2004) in psychology and work organisations.
She is member of the Order of Psychologists in the Veneto, since 1993.
Member of AIP - Italian Association of Psychologists, sector by the Organization, a member of CIRPA - Interuniversity Centre for Research in Environmental Psychology and ARIPT - Association Interdisciplinary Research in Psychology of Tourism.
She has done consulting activities within the organisational development, management of human resources and training for various north-east organisations (1989-1997).
Since 2007 she is the editor in chief of the journal “Turismo e Psicologia – Rivista di Studi, Ricerche e Formazione, Padova University Press (www.turismoepsicologia.it).
Project manager "New professionalism for the work’s market in Veneto", a project training / research individual (Measure D4) University of Padua - partner Padua Unindustria (project financed 2007).
Areas of special interest: research and development of new methodological approaches to investigate the meaning, involvement, role, the centrality, importance and the salience of work in Italian society; motivation and job satisfaction; discomfort in organizations; work socialisation; organisational development.
She has to her credit a hundred publications on magazines and monographs. The results of major research were presented to national and international Congress of psychology of work.
