Gaetano Granozzi is full professor of Full professor at University of Padova of Inorganic Chemistry since 1990, teaching courses of Inorganic Chemistry of Materials and Catalysis and Surface Chemistry. He has been Director of the PhD Corse in Science and Engineering of Materials and Nanostructures of the University of Padova from 2005 to 2016. He is the leader of the Surface Science and Catalysis Group (SSCG) of the Department of Chemical Science of the University of Padova (http://www.chimica.unipd.it/surfacescience/).
Research interests are in the areas of materials’ chemistry, with particular emphasis of heterogeneous catalysis and surface chemistry. He is author of over 30 scientific publications.

1975 "Laurea" degree (5 years) “cum Laude” in Chemistry at the Univ. of Padova (Italy).

Teachings

Research Area

The current research topics are:
- basic study of model electrocatalysts for fuel cells;
-preparation and characterization of ultrathin films of oxides and metals on monocrystalline substrates;
-the growth and the structural and chemical characterization of neat oxide surface nanopases, of potential application in the field of sensors and catalysts modeling;
- 2D materials for sustainable energetics ;
-Nanocomposites based on graphene and graphene oxide with metal oxides
-Auto-assembly of metallic nanoclusters ordered to dimensionality and controlled dispersion through the use of surface templants.
