I have been working in nuclear astrophysics since the beginning of my PhD, in 2007, when I joined the LUNA (Laboratory for Underground Nuclear Astrophysics) collaboration.
I have coordinated several thermonuclear cross section studies and those studies, done at LUNA and in other laboratories, have led to successful papers in important journal, such as Nature, PRL, PRC, MNRAS, A&A and others. I have been also selected for writing some reviews on nuclear astrophysics with direct experiments as expert in the field.
Since January 2019, I became local coordinator of the LUNA group in Padua. The group is actually composed by 4 staff members and 2 post docs plus various master and bachelor students. The Padua group has important and specific roles in LUNA for the actual 400kV and the MV facility at the Gran Sasso Laboratories.
I work in several project financed by the MUR or EU grants involving the Nuclear Astrophysics theme.
I also do outreach in various project of the UNIPD, INFN and in EU networks
