RESEARCH INTERESTS
The research interests cover the following fields:
- Phase change heat transfer processes. In this context, the activity carried out includes both the study of condensation and vaporization, with different geometries and within mini- and micro-channels.
- Refrigeration systems. The experimental and theoretical activity covers the study of new refrigerants and the development of innovative heat exchangers to be used as evaporators and condensers in refrigeration systems.
- Heat storage. This activity aimed at studying the use of phase change material as integrated thermal storage in heat exchangers and in particular in evaporators.
- Nanofluids for solar applications. In this context, the activities carried out include the testing of carbon nanofluids in a direct absorption solar collector and the monitoring of their stability. Numerical simulations in Ansys Fluent of the direct absorption solar collector were also performed.
