PRINCIPAL AREAS OF RESEARCH INTEREST AND MAIN PROJECTSThe research activity is mainly about the applications of thermochronology. Main topics are:- detrital thermochronology for exhumation and provenance studies; - tectonic evolution of orogenic chains;- basin analysis (with applications to petroleum exploration);- relationships between tectonics, erosion, sedimentation and climatic variations;- application of Raman microspectroscopy to fission-track analysis.Since 2020 – Granted for the “High-level Talent Program” by the Shaanxi Province for a collaborative project with the Northwest University of Xi’an.Since 2017 – Research unit coordinator of the PRIN 2017: “Intraplate deformation, magmatism and topographic evolution of a diffuse collisional belt: Insights into the geodynamics of the Arabia-Eurasia collisional zones” (PI: Claudio Faccenna, University of Rome, La Sapienza)2015-2017 - “Tectonothermal evolution of Northern Patagonian Andes”.
