Research Area
My research interests and current projects include:
• Earth evolution and palaeoenvironmental reconstructions;
• palaeoclimate investigation: causes and effects;
• chemostratigraphy of light elements on carbonates (O, C) and organic matter (C, N); O, stable and
radiogenic Sr from biogenic apatite (conodonts); boron from biogenic carbonate (corals, molluscs);
• geochemical composition of the rocks (Major, trace, REE)
• geochemical evidence of meteorite impact events in sedimentary rocks;
• integrated stratigraphy (litho-, bio-, chemo-, magnetostratigraphy, and sequence stratigraphy);
• geochronology of the Triassic System, including GSSPs proposals (Carnian, Norian, Rhaetian);
• 36Cl surface exposure dating on rock avalanches.
