Research activity is focused in the delivery of drugs from pharmaceutical forms and the influence of physical-chemical parameters on the release and bioavailability of the therapeutic agent. He studies pharmaceutical forms of dermatological application, suppositories, tablets, parenteral preparations and solid polymeric matrices. More recently, he is interested in radiopharmaceutical preparations and in vitro and in vivo immunodiagnostics and drug delivery.
The research concerns the use of specific auxiliary agents for the modulation of the availability of drugs from suppositories; the study of the influence of manufacturing methods on the availability of ointment drugs; the development of a method for the in vivo evaluation of skin absorption and a method for the assessment of the compatibility of plastic materials used in the construction of containers with the components of injections. Furthermore, it deals with studies in the field of clinical galenic; studies on the quality assessment of medical devices. In the field of radiopharmaceuticals, he works to a new ISOL-production method of high specific activity beta-emitting radionuclides as radiopharmaceutical precursors.
He also develops analysis, critical review and opinions on the pharmaceutical doctrine.
