Research Area

The research activity of Dr. Alessandro Pozzebon concerns the development of distributed measurement systems based on sensor networks, distributed data acquisition and processing systems, embedded systems especially in the context of the Internet of Things. In particular, he deals with the study of monitoring and measurement systems relying on IoT infrastructures based on LPWAN technologies (LoRaWAN, SigFox and NB-IoT). In this context, he has developed innovative solutions regarding distributed systems based on microcontroller platforms for application scenarios in the areas of Smart City (Smart Waste Manage- ment and environmental monitoring), Industry 4.0 (Traceability of supply chains, monitoring of working environments), Cultural Heritage (Structural Health Monitoring) and environmental monitoring (Study of intelligent solutions for coastal protection).
