Donatella Possamai is Full Professor of Russian Literature at the
Department of Linguistic and Literary Studies at the University of Padua and
Deputy Director of the Interuniversity Research Centre on Contemporary Russia
and its Cultural Heritage (CiRRCEC). Specialising in contemporary studies,
Possamai focuses mainly on 20th and 21st century Russian culture and
literature. She is the author of numerous articles on contemporary Russian
literature, and her main contributions are the monographs What is Russian
Postmodernism? Five Interpretative Paths and At the Crossroads of Two
Millennia: A Journey through Contemporary Russian Literature. She is
currently head of the Padua research unit within the PRIN 2022 project
entitled From Post-Trauma to Ecology: Contemporary Gender Narratives in
Slavic Cultural Texts.
