Davide Marangongraduated in Physics from the University of Padua.
He obtained his Ph.D. in "Information Science and Technologies" at the Department of Information Engineering (DEI), working in the Quantum Communications group led by Prof. Paolo Villoresi. Following his post-doc in the same group, he was awarded a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship at the Quantum Information Group at the Cambridge Research Laboratory of Toshiba Europe.

Upon the completion of the fellowship, he continued working at this research center until 2023, returning to DEI as a researcher, having received a Rita Levi Montalcini Fellowship.

His research areas focus on quantum technologies related to Quantum Cryptography, particularly quantum key distribution and quantum random number generation.
