Mirko Magarotto is an assistant professor (RTDa) at the University of Padova since 2023. From the same University, he earned a PhD degree in Science, Technologies and Measurements for Space in 2019. His principal research interests concern plasma technologies: plasma antennas and space electric propulsion in particular. Dr. Magarotto contributed to the design, development and testing of plasma antennas for satellite communications and ambipolar plasma thrusters for CubeSats. He supervised the development of a numerical suite to handle the plasma dynamics in these devices. He was also involved in a project on water treatment by means of plasma-based reactors.
