Lorenzo Guerrini is Associate Professor of Agricultural Mechanics (AGR/09) at the Department of Agriculture and AgroForestry Systems (TESAF) of the University of Padova. He carries out teaching activities in the CdL in Food Science and Technology and Viticultural and Oenological Sciences and Technologies at the same University where he holds the courses of University Credits (ECTS Credits)) and Oenological Plant Engineering (8 University Credits (ECTS Credits)). He holds a PhD in Sustainable Management of Agricultural and Forestry Resources, c. in Agro-Forestry Engineering with a dissertation entitled "Technological developments for the filtration of extra virgin olive oil" and graduates in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies at the University of Florence. His research interests are related to biosystems engineering, with particular reference to the development of machines, devices and plants for the processing of agricultural products into food. The scientific activity is carried out in the context of numerous national and international research projects and in the context of collaborations with industries. This activity is supported by over 100 scientific publications, of which over 70 in journals with impact factor, and by numerous participations in national and international conferences. Lorenzo Guerrini's scientific activity has mainly been divided into the following lines of research: i) machines and plants for the stabilization and preservation of food products, ii) machines and plants for the control and management of the nutritional and sensory profile of food, iii) technologies for solid-liquid extraction. The research activity is disseminated through participation in numerous fairs, round tables, focus groups, meetings with farmers, processors and consumers, as well as through the publication of articles in technical journals. Finally, Lorenzo Guerrini is the inventor of 6 patents.
