Recognition of an external language certification: how and when
Students holding a recognisable external language certification may submit a recognition request, within the periods and according to the procedures indicated, after first checking the instructions for the different schools or departments.
When to submit an application:
For students enrolled in the 2024-2025 academic year:
From 1 November 2024 to 30 November 2024 (recognition by January 2025)
From 1 April 2025 to 30 April 2025 (recognition by May 2025)
From 1 July 2025 to 31 July 2025, an additional period for the Schools of Engineering, Agricultural and Veterinary Medicine, and Science (recognition by August 2025)
For students enrolled in the 2025-2026 academic year:
From 3 November 2025 to 30 November 2025 (recognition by January 2026)
From 1 April 2026 to 30 April 2026 (recognition by May 2026)
From 1 July 2026 to 31 July 2026, an additional period for the Schools of Engineering, Agricultural and Veterinary Medicine, and Science (recognition by August 2026)
The recognition is recorded in the online record book within the deadlines indicated above. If recognition is denied, the student is contacted by the relevant back office competente.
How to submit an application:
Students must hold a recognisable external language certification.
The recognition request must be submitted by opening a ticket through the dedicated platform: you must log in with your email credentials and select Area Didattica e Servizi agli studenti – GESTIONE LIBRETTO UNIVERSITARIO > Riconoscimento Certificazioni Linguistiche Esterne and your School.
The following documents must be attached to the ticket, in a single Pdf/A file:
- the form duly completed;
- a copy of the front and back of the certification;
- proof of payment of the stamp duty paid virtually via the PagoPA portal: make a spontaneous payment selecting "DIDA08 - Imposta di bollo - Riconoscimento/Equiparazione" as the payment reason (€16) and download the receipt from the same portal (payment instructions).
