Recognition of an external language certification: how and when
Students in possession of a recognizable external language certification can send the request for recognition, in the periods and in the manner indicated, checking in advance the indications for the different schools or departments.
When to apply:
For students enrolled in the year 2024-2025:
From 1 November 2024 to 30 November 2024 (recognition by January 2025)
From 1 April 2025 to 30 April 2025 (recognition by May 2025)
From 1 July 2025 to 31 July 2025, additional period for the Schools of Engineering, Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and Sciences (recognition by August 2025)
For students enrolled in the year 2025-2026:
From 3 November 2025 to 30 November 2025 (recognition by January 2026)
From 1 April 2026 to 30 April 2026 (recognition by May 2026)
From 1 July 2026 to 31 July 2026, additional period for the Schools of Engineering, Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and Sciences (recognition by August 2026)
The recognition is uploaded to the online booklet within the deadlines indicated above. If recognition is denied, the student is contacted by the relevant back office.
How to apply:
Students must be in possession of a recognisable external language certification.
The recognition request must be submitted by opening a ticket through the dedicated platform: it is necessary to log in with your e-mail credentials and select Teaching Area and Student Services – UNIVERSITY RECORD BOOK MANAGEMENT > Recognition of External Language Certifications and the School to which you belong.
The ticket must be attached, in a single file, in Pdf/A format:
- the duly completed form;
- copy of the front and back of the certification;
- the receipt of payment of the revenue stamp paid virtually through the PagoPA portal: make a spontaneous payment by selecting "DIDA08 - Stamp duty - Recognition/Equivalence" as the Payment Reason (amount 16€) and download the receipt from the same portal (payment instructions).
