Do secrets behind art and cultural heritage fascinate you? You should then join the International Summer School "Anthropology of Forgery" at the University of Padua and explore the hidden world of art fakes, forgeries, and the science of authentication.
You will be able to see how experts uncover deceptions, protect heritage, and tackle crimes that cost billions each year and you will delve into real cases and get insights from leading international and national experts.
Learn through hands-on labs, workshops, and exclusive visits to archaeological and artistic collections in the Veneto region. Explore the complex world of art markets, ethics, and provenance through from an interdisciplinary point of view.

This Summer School is supported by some of the world’s leading institutions in the field of cultural heritage.
Participants will benefit from the contribution of organizations such as the School of Art History at the University of St Andrews (Scotland), the Italian Ministry of Culture, INTERPOL, the Carabinieri Unit for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, ICOM, ICOMOS, ICCROM, Blue Shield International, the IIC, and the Italian UNESCO Commission.
