Information on the processing of personal data (Insolvency proceedings)
art. 13 EU Regulation 2016/679 - General Data Protection Regulation
This information is provided to you, pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 – General Data Protection Regulation, and in relation to the personal data of which the University of Padua with campus in Via 8 Febbraio, 2 - 35122 Padua as Data Controller, comes into possession as a result of the activities of providing the service of managing insolvency procedures.
According to the aforementioned legislation, the processing of personal data will be based on the principles of correctness, lawfulness and transparency and the protection of your privacy and your rights.

The Data Controller has the Data Protection Officer, appointed pursuant to art. 37 of EU Regulation 2016/679. The data protection officer can be contacted at the following e-mail address: privacy@unipd.it
The processing of your personal data (personal data provided when subscribing to the service and data relating to electronic traffic) is aimed exclusively at:
- carrying out all the activities necessary to allow you access to the insolvency procedure management service
- fulfilment of legal and contractual obligations;
- fulfilment of specific requests by the data subject before the conclusion of the Contract;
- management of any complaints and/or disputes; prevention/repression of fraud and any illegal activity
The recipients of the data you provide to us are the Data Controller and any Data Processors appointed by the Data Controller, as well as the natural persons within the data processing for the purposes indicated above.
Personal data may be communicated to all subjects to whom the communication is necessary for the correct fulfilment of the purposes indicated in point 3. The designated external data processor is Cineca Consorzio Interuniversitario, as provider of the PaaS service for the management of insolvency procedures – with campus in via Magnanelli 6/3 - 40033 Casalecchio di Reno (BO). Your personal data will not be disseminated.
The provision for the purposes described in art. 3 is mandatory and any refusal by the User precludes the provision of the service.
The determination of the retention period of your personal data responds to the principle of necessity of processing. Your personal data will therefore be stored for as long as necessary to carry out the purposes set out in point 3. Your personal data will then be deleted and destroyed. Your personal data within the PICA PaaS platform will be deleted and destroyed as soon as it becomes superfluous in relation to the purposes set out above.
Traffic data (e.g. time and duration of the connection) are deleted or anonymised when they are no longer required for the transmission of the communication, unless otherwise provided for by law (maximum 12 months).
It should be noted that with reference to your personal data provided, you have the following rights:
- access to your personal data;
- to obtain the rectification or erasure of the same or the limitation of the processing concerning him/her;
- to object to the processing;
- data portability (right applicable only to data in electronic format), as governed by art. 20 of EU Regulation 2016/679;
- to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Guarantor for the protection of personal data)

The Data Controller is required to provide you with a response within one month of the request, which can be extended up to three months in the event of particular complexity of the request.
