In the academic year 2026/27, the thirtieth anniversary of Communication Sciences at the University of Padua falls, now structured into the three-year degree in Communication and the master’s degree in Communication Strategies.

To celebrate this anniversary, on 26 October 2026 a day is being held dedicated to the history, evolution and role of the Communication courses within the University and in relation to the city and the wider regional area.

The initiative aims to highlight the cultural, educational and scientific contribution of the courses, strengthen their visibility in the city context and promote dialogue between the University, institutions and citizens. The day is also an opportunity for learning, inspiration and participation for students, and helps to consolidate the sense of belonging to the academic community, also through the involvement of alumnae and alumni and of figures who have contributed to the growth of the degree courses.

The celebrations are organised into several moments:

The first part of the day, from 14:30 to 16:30, takes place at Palazzo del Capitano, in the Sala delle Edicole, and has an institutional and celebratory character. The programme includes greetings from the academic authorities, the participation of those who previously held the presidency of the courses, and a round table with alumnae and alumni who graduated in Padua from the Communication courses.

Afterwards, from 16:45 to 17:30, the workshop “Seconda stella a destra” is scheduled, curated by Studio Bleu: a walk that, starting from the city centre and heading towards the Beato Pellegrino Complex, weaves together outreach, beauty and curiosity, telling the story of the sky and the city.

The day then continues from 17:30 to 21:00 in the Aula Magna of the Beato Pellegrino Complex, where a meeting with leading figures in the field of communication, culture and public debate is planned, with the aim of offering a broad reflection on the role of communication in contemporary society.

The event is particularly intended for students on the three-year and master’s degree courses, with the aim of combining celebration and engagement.

The day concludes with a convivial and festive moment, conceived as a space for informal meeting among students, teaching staff, alumni and guests.

The initiatives for the thirtieth anniversary also continue throughout the year with events and workshops dedicated to communication, aimed at encouraging student participation in the many activities relating to this field, from creativity to storytelling, from cultural planning to marketing.

A thirtieth anniversary to be experienced not only as a celebratory moment, but also as an opportunity for renewed planning and reflection on the role of Communication courses in the present and in the future.

Participation is open and free of charge via registration.
