Museums and collections
The Museums of the University of Padua constitute a historical, artistic and scientific heritage of extraordinary value.
Born thanks to donations, acquisitions and research that have accompanied the life and history of the University for over eight centuries, the collections — rich in unique artifacts — have progressively given rise to museum complexes intended not only for the enjoyment of the public, but also to support the teaching and research activities of scholars.
The latest, in order of construction, is the Museum of Nature and Humankind, the largest university science museum in Europe.
