The Erasmus+ programme provides staff with grants for mobility periods at higher education institutions in European countries and non-EU countries participating in the initiative. For non-European destinations, mobility is possible provided that the University has signed an Erasmus+ KA171 agreement that is active for the relevant year and that funding is available.

Who can take part: technical-administrative staff (permanent and fixed-term, including all professional areas), language instructors and experts (CEL), and fixed-term research technologists of the University of Padua.

Duration of the mobility:

  • Mobility in European countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme (KA131), Switzerland and the United Kingdom: minimum two days - maximum five days (excluding travel).
  • Mobility in non-European countries (KA171): may not be shorter than five days (excluding travel).
  • Longer mobility periods are eligible, but the additional days will be considered at "zero cost" or funded by the relevant home structure.

Grant: calculated on the basis of the Erasmus+ Programme tables. It varies according to the distance between the University of Padua and the host institution (travel) and the cost of living in the destination country (subsistence). The grant represents the maximum reimbursable cost under mission rules (reimbursement of expenses actually incurred) and may be supplemented by the relevant home structure.

How to participate: submit the application online (from 1 September 2026).

Mobility to European countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme (KA131)
Mobility to non-European partner countries (KA171).

For mobility to non-EU Partner Countries (KA171), a specific two-stage procedure is envisaged, with a prior expression of interest by email. Applications are assessed by a committee, giving priority to those who have never received an Erasmus+ Staff Training grant. Selection is based on the analysis of the Mobility Agreement and a Letter of support from the head of the structure highlighting the benefits for the University.

Application deadline: for the academic years 2025/2026 and 2026/2027, two calls are planned:

  • 1st call: for activities to be carried out between 31 March 2026 and 31 January 2027, deadline Monday 23 February 2026 at 1 p.m.
  • 2nd call: for activities to be carried out between 2 November 2026 and 31 July 2027, deadline Tuesday 29 September 2026 at 1 p.m.
