The Erasmus+ programme makes funding available to staff for mobility periods at higher education institutions in European and non-EU countries participating in the initiative. For destinations outside Europe, mobility is possible provided that the University has signed an Erasmus+ KA171 agreement active for the relevant year and that funding is available.

Who can take part: technical and administrative staff (permanent and fixed-term, including all professional areas), language assistants and experts (CEL), and fixed-term research technologists at the University of Padua.

Duration of the mobility period:

  • Mobility in European countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme (KA131), Switzerland and the United Kingdom: minimum two days - maximum five days (excluding travel).
  • Mobility in non-European countries (KA171): may not be shorter than five days (excluding travel).
  • Longer mobility periods are eligible, but the additional days will be considered at "zero cost" or funded by the relevant structure.

Grant: calculated on the basis of the Erasmus+ Programme tables. It varies according to the distance between the University of Padua and the host institution (travel) and the cost of living in the destination country (subsistence). The grant represents the maximum cost reimbursable under mission regulations (reimbursement of actual expenses incurred) and may be supplemented by the relevant structure.

How to take part: submission of the online application (from 28 January 2026). For mobility towards non-EU Partner Countries (KA171), a specific two-stage procedure is предусмотрена, with a preliminary expression of interest by email. Applications are assessed by a committee, giving priority to those who have never previously received an Erasmus+ Staff Training grant. Selection is based on the analysis of the Mobility Agreement and a Letter of Support from the head of the structure highlighting the benefits for the University.

Application deadline: for the academic years 2025/2026 and 2026/2027, two calls are planned:

  • First call: for activities to be carried out between 31 March 2026 and 31 January 2027, deadline Monday 23 February 2026 at 1 p.m.
  • Second call: for activities to be carried out between 2 November 2026 and 31 July 2027, deadline Tuesday 29 September 2026 at 1 p.m.
