Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training
The Erasmus+ program provides grants for staff mobility periods at higher education institutions in participating European and non-EU countries. For non-European destinations, mobility is possible only if the University has an active Erasmus+ KA171 agreement for the reference year and funds are available.
Eligibility
The following staff members of the University of Padua are eligible to participate:
- Technical-administrative staff (permanent and temporary, across all professional areas).
- Language assistants and experts (CEL).
- Fixed-term research technologists.
Duration of Mobility
- Mobility within European countries (KA131), Switzerland, and the UK: Minimum 2 days – maximum 5 days (excluding travel).
- Mobility in non-European countries (KA171): Minimum 5 days (excluding travel).
- Extended mobility: Periods longer than the maximum are eligible, but the additional days will be considered "zero-grant" or must be funded by the participant’s home department.
Financial Support
The grant is calculated based on Erasmus+ program tables. It varies according to the distance between the University of Padua and the host institution (travel) and the cost of living in the destination country (subsistence). The grant represents the maximum reimbursable amount under mission status (reimbursement of actual expenses incurred) and may be supplemented by the home department.
How to Apply
Applications must be submitted online. For mobility to Non-EU Partner Countries (KA171), a specific two-stage procedure is required, including a preliminary expression of interest via email.
Applications are evaluated by a committee, with priority given to those who have never previously received an Erasmus+ Staff Training grant. Selection is based on the analysis of the Mobility Agreement and a Letter of Support from the department head highlighting the benefits for the University.
