CVEinAI - Critical Virtual Exchange in Artificial Intelligence

The Projects and Mobility Office coordinates the project "CVEinAI - Critical Virtual Exchange in Artificial Intelligence", funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme, Key Action 1 – Virtual Exchange.
The CVEinAI project is designed to promote critical literacy and ethical awareness of Artificial Intelligence (AI) among university students across Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. Through the creation of Critical Virtual Exchanges (CVEs) on the topic, the initiative aims to provide an interactive and interdisciplinary learning environment in which students from different disciplines can participate in meaningful discussions on AI-related topics.
The project also aims to train undergraduates, PhD students and doctoral students to facilitate online dialogues in intercultural and multidisciplinary environments, providing them with fundamental skills to lead conversations on AI ethics and the challenges it presents. In addition, the professors of the universities involved will be able to take advantage of a training and refresher course on the design of Virtual Exchange paths, with a critical eye on the inclusion of AI technologies in teaching.
Through a cross-cultural and transdisciplinary approach, CVEinAI encourages participants to analyze AI-related issues from global and local ("glocal") perspectives, fostering intercultural dialogue and promoting ethically sound decisions in AI practices. The initiative ultimately aims to give future professionals the tools to tackle the complexities of AI with critical thinking, ethical awareness, and a global vision.
