Software conventions
Students and employees of the University of Padua can access free of charge or enjoy special discounts for software to be used on their devices.
The campus contract stipulated with Microsoft provides that students and staff can have 5 Office Pro Plus licenses that can be used on their personal devices (PCs, Macs and tablets).
To take advantage of this opportunity, all you need is a valid @unipd.it or @studenti.unipd.it account.

Unipd has acquired the Canva for Campus software, with which Unipd staff and students can:
- Create projects, assignments, documents, and presentations easily with the Visual Suite
- Work together with your team to complete collaborative projects wherever you are and with the ability to send and receive comments in real time.

Thanks to an agreement with National Instruments, our University offers staff and students the opportunity to install LabVIEW software (LabVIEW and related toolkits, Veristand, Multisim and what is included in the Academic Site License) on their computers for research and teaching activities. It is also possible to access face-to-face and online training courses.
LabVIEW is a graphical programming environment that allows you to quickly turn ideas into real designs. For prototyping next-generation communications systems, NI offers LabVIEW Communications, designed for those who want to take advantage of the flexibility of SDRs while simplifying the prototyping process.
VeriStand is a software for the development of advanced real-time test applications. By importing simulation models and control algorithms, you can easily interface your hardware-in-the-loop system with the real world.
Multisim is an advanced, intuitive and practical SPICE simulation environment, and DIAdem, designed for analysis and reporting of measured data.

Matlab is an interactive language and environment for numerical computation, data analysis and visualization, and programming.
The Campus contract (Total Academic Headcount Licenses – student option) has a duration of one year and includes the installation of the Matlab basic package and all the optional modules subscribed, on personal workstations (home PC and laptop) up to a maximum of four installations. Added to this is the deployment of updates.
The license is aimed at all staff, students (including PhD students), research fellows.
eduVPN is the institutional service that the University Library System makes available for off-campus access to electronic resources. With eduVPN you can consult e-books, magazines and databases, from home and abroad, as if you were connected to the University network.
Download the eduVPN app and set it up with your institutional credentials. The process is quick and easy, allowing you to connect in just a few clicks wherever you are.
Apple Education is an initiative for students and employees of the University and allows the purchase of a wide range of Apple products at discounted prices.
