Biological Sciences-Subject 2026-150

The Second-cycle/Master's degree course in Quantitative and Computational Biosciences combines courses in biology and mathematical, physical and statistical sciences, with particular attention to practical application in the various fields of bioinformatics. This transdisciplinary approach is designed to bring together students from various STEM backgrounds within a single course of study, developing cultural contaminations oriented by the common interest in Big Data in the fields of omics, evolutionary biology, ecology and physiology. The course, delivered in English and in blended mode, prepares graduates to work as bioinformaticians, data scientists in the field of biology, analysts of big data and complex systems, and developers of new analytical methods in biology.
