MSCA DN Unipd Supervisor: Francesca Lorandi

Francesca Lorandi completed her MSc in industrial Chemistry in 2014 and obtained her PhD in Molecular Sciences in 2018 at the University of Padua. She then joined the group of Prof. Matyjaszewski at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, USA, as a postdoc, working on electrochemical triggering and monitoring of controlled radical polymerizations, and on the design of polymer electrolytes for batteries. In 2020, she was included among the Future Faculty awardees by the Division of Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering of the American Chemical Society. In 2022, she joined the Department of Chemical Sciences of the University of Padova as one of the coordinators of the laboratory of Macromolecular and Organic Chemistry (MOC). Her research interests focus on tailoring the structure of polymer materials to precisely modulate their physicochemical properties and response to different environments.
