"What resonates a lot with me it´s the community the university has to offer, every person that I have encountered has been super nice and friendly to me!"

About myself

Why did you choose the University of Padua and the Cognitive Neuroscience and Clinical Nuropsychology degree programme? How did you learn about our institution?

I heard about this University, searching in Google for the best places to get my masters in Clinical Neuropsychology. I stumbled upon University of Padua, doing a little bit of more research I found out the level of not only prestige but also quality in education of this university.

What are the main features of your degree programme? Is there any class/subject that has stood out to you so far?

For me, what stands out the most, is the amount of lectures and classes about absolutely everything regarding either Neuroscience or neuropsychology, there is so much and you learn so much, besides learning from active professors who are top of their fields.

What aspects of our university’s culture or values have resonated with you the most?

What resonates a lot with me it´s the community the university has to offer, every person that I have encountered has been super nice and friendly to me! Besides there are so many social groups, like running and music, where you can go out, share and bond with a lot of people.

What kind of tips would you give to prospective students when it comes to preparing a successful application?

If you are like me, coming from a tropical place. Get ready for having four seasons of weather, also try to take advantage of all the Italian courses they give, it´s super nice to learn a another language, an it´s so easy to implement because you are already living in Italy!

What advice would you give to students thinking of studying in Italy?

Be consistent with you study material, don´t let it at last minute you would be surprise by the amount of information can be asked in one exam!

How have you adjusted to living here? How has your experience outside of university been so far?

I have adjusted living here thanks to all of my friends, they have helped so much to adapt to not only the European lifestyle but specifically the Italian way, the places where to go to get help and support by others.

What do you do when you’re not studying? What does the city of Padua have to offer?

Usually I try to visit other cities, you know, like the saying, “when in Rome….” Hahaha jokes aside, the Italian train and buses system is super efficient to go visit everywhere! Even more knowing that Padua, that has so much history, is super close to big and amazing cities like Venice, Bologna, and Verona and even if you put in the patience hours you can visit places like Rome, Milan, Genova and my favourite so far, Torino.
