Support the sitting volley project Unipd

Pallavolo paralimpica

The University of Padua has always been committed to wellness, sport and inclusion and to the daily promotion of these activities to overcome all forms of physical and cultural barriers.

Sitting volley is one of the most inclusive and rehabilitative disciplines.

People with or without disabilities can play this sport, as long as they have control of their bust. There are only a few differences with volleyball: the court is smaller, it measures 6x10 m, and the net is lower, 1.05 m for women and 1.15 m for men. The rest is pure volleyball.

The University of Padua, in collaboration with CUS, wants to make this sport as inclusive as possible by stimulating students with disabilities to engage in sporting activities, raising awareness on the importance sports can have for everyone in terms of personal growth and social inclusion.

The goal is to collect donations (at least 1.500 Euro) to co-finance the costs of some essential equipment: nets, balloons, flexible antennas and net support poles.

The creation of the Padua University Sitting Volleyball Team represents an opportunity of aggregation and inclusion of the student’s community through the university sports world. DONATE NOW!
